She has over four years’ experience and is a graduate of Newman University, specializing in Mental Health and Addiction Therapy, working with a broad spectrum of individuals, with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, and life challenges. She provides services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, relationship counseling and beyond. Laura uses various modalities and approaches to support individuals through their healing process, but does not limit therapy to using only one approach, everyone is different, everyone has various needs, different life histories and individual goals. Her approach is tailored to meet everyone where they are at in their life and works for that specific individual.
Laura is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. As a therapist, her goal is to provide support, empowerment, validation and professional, practical feedback, and guide individuals to develop healthy coping skills that they can use in this fast-paced, often demanding world. Laura believes in providing therapy in an ethical, honest, nonjudgmental, empathetic and safe therapeutic environment.
Her idea of such environment is “to allow your therapy session to be your hour away from life’s distractions, demands to process, reset, breathe.” It is important to Laura to help individuals effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, she works patiently with individuals, by building on their strengths and attaining the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
