Melanie Miller Garrett, LSCSW

Melanie_MillerMel is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare, which is recognized as one of the top social work programs in the nation. She has been working with children, youth, couples and families for 20 years, with a clinical specialization in supporting survivors of trauma, abuse and human trafficking. Mel is frequently recognized for her efficacy in supporting her clients in transforming from suriving to thriving. She is a sought after trainer and speaker. Mel believes we are designed for health, and is passionate about supporting her clients in their journeys towards wellness. Mel also serves as Vice President of the American Board of Functional Medicine (ABFM), the Coordinator of the Anti-Sexual Exploitation Community Roundtable for Action (ASERCA), sits on the National Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance (RHYTTAC) Advisory Board, is a Senior Fellow and Board Member of the Melton Foundation, and is on the Newton Community Children’s Choir Board.
