Patricia is licensed at the master level receiving her formal education from Wichita State University but considers her life experiences as a friend, parent and military spouse to be equally influential in her clinical perspective and approach. Patricia’s strengths include a contagious, passionate spirit, energizing motivational skills, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills. Patricia provides a relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere in which she creatively adapts her approach to help each individual find success in personal growth and quality of life.
Patricia has been trained in the use of EMDR Therapy and is currently working toward full certification from the EMDR International Association. Patricia most recently has worked with adults in the community mental health setting but she is looking forward to once again serving adolescents and transitional age youth as they gain independence while learning to navigate these years toward a healthy outcome. Patricia frequently uses a solution-focused approach to empower clients to utilize self-identified strengths for problem-solving issues and successfully implementing coping skills.
In addition to adhering to a set of deep-rooted values and a high level of integrity, Patricia is a progressive thinker and an advocate for positive social change that enhances human rights and socioeconomic justice. Patricia is an eager learner and strives to remain current with research to utilize evidence-based interventions with clients. Her genuine desire to help others, blended with creativity and resourcefulness, enhances her effectiveness as a clinician. Patricia’s dedication and life experiences drive her passion for serving and helping others.
