Rachel Zamorano, LSCSW

Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She graduated from Wichita State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and from Newman University in 2006 with a Master of Social Work.  Rachel has worked in the social services field since 2001, and has been fortunate to have been trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques by nationally recognized clinicians.  She believes in establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients using a person centered approach.  Rachel works with clients to examine their interactions with all of the various systems in their lives (family, work, community, etc.) in order to improve overall functioning and to establish healthy relationships and coping skills.  She works with children (ages 7 and up), adolescents, families and couples.  Rachel enjoys working with clients who are facing difficulties related to relationship issues, anxiety, depression, parenting, child behavior problems, blended families, anger issues, infidelity and divorce.  She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Solution Focused Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (an effective treatment for anxiety and PTSD), and various other models based on the assessed needs of the client.
