Shawn P. Padgett is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, with over a decade of experience working in Community Mental Health, volunteering time to share interests with community youth and families, working to serve individuals and their families across South Central Kansas. Upon completion of his internship with the PTSD Clinic at Robert J. Dole VA Hospital, Mr. Padgett received his MS in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University. Shawn continued his work in community mental health as a Licensed Master Level Psychologist (LMLP). Shawn continued further supervision toward clinical licensure (LCP), working with a diverse demographic of individuals and their families.
Shawn recognizes the intrinsic value of working with the public in a compassionate, calm, and empathetic manner. Mr. Padgett has education, training, supervision, and work experience with varied therapeutic strategies. His interests include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, anxiety spectrum disorders, anger management, stress regulation, and strategies in effective parenting. He brings not only broad mental health experience to build upon, but also a positive, compassionate attitude, and the confidence to share his experience with others.
