Julie Ladd
LCMFT
Hi, my name is Julie. I received my B.S. in Psychology at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska with a minor in business marketing. I then received my Masters in Family Therapy at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas in 2011. I have almost 10 years experience working with families in the home, with 5 1/2 of those being an in-home therapist. I completed my clinical license in February of 2015.
Age preference is 16+ with some exceptions from 13+ (case-by- case). I believe that all experiences, whether negative or positive have a major impact in our lives. My passion is to help those who have had negative experiences, continue to grow rather than be stunted by those traumas. I believe that every person is in charge of their story, sometimes they just need a little help with the narrative.
I have experience working with individuals and families. I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as well as Brainspotting. Area of practice that I have a passion working with is Anxiety, I also have experience working with history of abuse, life transitions and stressors.
I am available to offer a Christian counseling perspective, but I love working with clients from any walk of life. I utilize several therapeutic techniques and really strive to meet the clients needs. Some of the techniques I use are; cognitive behavioral, experiential, and structural therapy.
Therapy is not always easy, but I would be honored to help you in your personal journey on learning to thrive.
